Hope you’re all progressing well. I wondered if anyone had any advice on how long the sleep disruption lasted. I quit just over a month ago and my sleep is terrible. I have trouble falling asleep, wake up lots of times in the night, then finally am wide awake at about 6. Surely my brain chemistry must be readjusted by now.

Hi Cheeseman firstly SUPER well done for your 1st smoke free month. Sleeping disorders are a common withdrawal symptom. I can't say how long it takes for your sleep to get a regular pattern I'm afraid. There are lots of herbal remedies on the market I suggest you try one. Change your routine, turn the screens (computer, tablet etc) an hour before bedtime. Try going to bed with a "real" book instead. If you really can't sleep don't lie there tossing and turning, get up and do something, tidy a cupboard, empty the dish washer.............
There's lots of info in the pinned posts under "Sleep issues and Fatigue" Here's a link to get you started. It will get better.
If you drink tea or coffee, change to decaf tea or coffee, it sorted my sleep problem in the past couple of years, it may work for you, but I dont really know.
As tubbs says, there are other remedies on the market, so try those as well......good luck. 😀
Hi Cheeseman, well done on your 4 weeks smoke free👏🏼
You’re doing great and it takes a while for our bodies to adjust so hang in there.
I see tubby has given you good advice already. Chamomile tea has helped some of our members and also there’s some great free apps out there to try.
Hang in there as this will improve with time🚭✅😘
You made a month that's great 😊 and don't give up.. I can't help with the not sleeping but others in the group sure can.. hug's on your 4weeks no smoke..
