Dear jaxy😊congrats on making a healthy decision to quit! The first week is the hardest with most cravings . keep yourself busy. You will feel tired, irritated and stuff, but be gentle with yourself . fresh air worked the best for me, lots of little walks. Come on here everyday to get support, ask questions and chat with people that have quit the same time as you🐱 we look forward to walking with you on your quit journey🌼

HI jaxy87

I stopped smoking 16 days ago cold turkey after 40 years of smoking. Just take it a day at a time, its not easy but if I can do it anybody can. Drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated. Find things to do instead of picking up the cigs, I eat little snacks every time I want to smoke. you will get used to it after a couple of days.

Welcome to the group hon.. it's not gonna be easy the first couple weeks I think are the worst.. but you have found the right place..we are here to help no judgement.. and if you mess up get back on that horse..no one is perfect.. but I think you can do it Jaxy 87..🍀🍀😎

Hi jaxy87 , Well done for your decision to quit👏

Welcome to Quit Support.💙

It’s never easy to quit but it’s easier with a little support.💪

Cravings can be dealt with one at a time. If we're honest they only last 5/6 minutes at a time, the best way of dealing with them is to do something else. As you learn how to quit you will find that smoking actually causes stress.

Please read the pinned posts,📌 there is lots of information there. You will find the posts to the right or at the bottom of your screen depending which device you are using. Just click “posts” then click “pinned posts”.

May I suggest you drink plenty of water💧💦 to flush out the toxins and keep yourself hydrated.

If you feel you need any more help please don’t hesitate to ask. There is always someone here.

May I remind you not to post any personal information.

I will set your quit date for Sunday 1st December,I'm sure you will enjoy a smoke free Christmas.

Good luck with your quit.🍀🚭xx

Hi jaxy, as you can see there’s lots of great support here for you.

Keep busy, try to fit in some exercise like a nice walk and stay close. Changing your routine around to avoid some of the triggers helps as well.

Good luck, just take one day at a time and you’ll get there🚭✅xx
