Every morning since my quit day I have planned on buying a packet of cigarettes, but I haven’t.. every day I ask myself, do i want to smell like I used to.. the answer is no... do I want to be breathless.. the answer again is no.. do I want to dip into my smoking money.. definitely no.... every night since my quit day.. I ask myself if I’m proud of myself.. the answer is yes... that word yes is what’s keeping me going... So YES I’m bloody proud of being a none smoker for over a month now.

Well done Charlie3306, You have summed up my feelings exactly too! I am going in to my fifth week and, like you, every day I think "Oh shall I just buy one packet of cigarettes"........ I could just have one.............but of course, you cannot just have one cigarette......so the answer is always NOPE.......

You have every right to feel proud of yourself; well done and keep up the great work :)

It’s how I’m coping.. I’m not telling myself I can’t smoke..I’m giving myself a choice.. and when the cravings hit I ask myself do I really want to... congrats on 5 weeks not smoking x x

Funnily enough that worked for me too. I use to say to myself 'I'll sneak one later' then forgot about it until the next time I promised myself I would sneak one later. It was obviously giving myself permission that sat better with me than denying myself.
