Hello everyone, I’ve been smoking weed for 10 years and cigars too. I want to quit because it is affecting my life in several ways. I don’t smoke for 4 days, it’s too soon.
How long will it take for my craving to go away ?
Do you guys have any tip/advice?

Hi Marevida, Well done for your decision to quit👏 and of course for your 4 smoke free days.
Welcome to Quit Support.💙
It’s never easy to quit but it’s easier with a little support.💪
I'm afraid I can't tell you how long it takes for the cravings to disappear. We are all different with different life styles etc.
We have to learn how to handle the cravings when the happen. Eventually they become farther apart and weaker then they disappear.
Please read the pinned posts,📌 there is lots of information there. You will find the posts to the right or at the bottom of your screen depending which device you are using.
May I suggest you drink plenty of water💧💦 to flush out the toxins and keep yourself hydrated.
If you feel you need any more help please don’t hesitate to ask. There is always someone here.
May I remind you not to post any personal information.
So for the record your quit date is 24th October . So that we can assign you a winners' badge and add your name to the wall of winners.
Welcome to Quit Support, our friendly support community for those members who want to quit smoking.
Congratulations on your decision to quit smoking, it will be the best choice you will ever make in your life.
Four days smoke🚭free is amazing 👏👏👏👏 well done...... I’m afraid I cant tell you how long before the craving goes, as everyone is different....., you could check out the community Pinned Posts for info to help you on your journey to become smoke🚭free, you will find them to the right of this page, or at the bottom of page, depending on which device you are using!
If you drink plenty of water, it will help flush the toxins from your body system, and keep you hydrated, which is a good thing...... if you drink a glass of water before a meal, it will fill your stomache and make you less enclined to overeat!
Have some fresh sliced fruit(apples, pears etc) in an airtight bag, in your refridgerator, and perhaps some healthy chewy bars as a cigarette alternative.
Dont plan your quit ahead, just take it one day at a time...... it may be hard to quit at first, but it may get better as time goes on, as you will get encouragement and support from every member in this community, its what we are here for, to encourage and support each other on our respective journeys to become smoke🚭free.
We have a community Mantra which is NOPE(Not One Puff Ever)
If you fall by the wayside and are tempted by having a cigarette, fear not..... pick yourself up, dust yourself down and start all over again..... you may want to tell other member that you had a cigarette/cigar, but thats ok because we dont judge our fellow members in this community, we have all been there, done that!
For now, I hope this message gives you some encouragement on your journey to become smoke🚭free!
