Hi Nightowls and Morninglarks! With all the literature on Google Search sites re smoking, it doesn't tell you what to expect in the way of physical withdrawal - mostly it tells you what the inside of your body, mainly your lungs is doing with & without a cig. I was a smoker for 54 years & never thought of stopping. I thought quit was a permanent word, not stopping and starting up or cutting down gradually which is what I was doing or another word, relapsing, that I've been reading people's posts on here until i got a bad case of bronchitis & 2 rounds of meds later, chose to hang the thing up for good. (quit). I am 5 days and 18 hours free and have saved $37 by not buying as my phone quit meter says. I just finished reading the 50 reasons to quit on the pinned page elsewhere here on HealthUnlocked. I didn't have a specific goal to aim for, but after reading those two numbers, #31 & #34, now do. I tried a little experiment yesterday eliminating the Wellbutrin to see how I'd feel without it; does it really make a difference when one is doing cold turkey? Will keep you posted on that. P.S. I am really liking the members & their posts on here -- you're all so kind, upbeat & positive.

Hi Perry, you've nearly reached 1 week! So you must be doing something right!
I'm not sure if it's a good idea to stop taking Wellbutrin as these drugs have quite strict instructions, I believe you should finish the course or it may not be effective.
About physical withdrawal symptoms, there can be quite a few but we are all different, not everyone gets all of them.
Here's a link which may help.

Good morning PerryTorre, Glad your finding this site useful. Its lovely to hear you appreciate it.
Have a lovely smokefree day. xxx
Welcome to the lovely Quit family Perry! You’ve just discovered one of the most important weapons against relapsing in your armoury! Even after 54 years it IS soooo possible to discover the best kind of life without smoking.....a whole new, clean, gorgeous smelling, tasting, clear thinking kind of life. Gonna sound a little dramatic here but it’s kinda like being reborn in a way!! Yup. It did sound dramatic....but for me, it’s how I feel and I’m sure you will too! Stay strong, stay calm and stay in touch, much love, Poll x
Hi Perry, yes there’s so much information here as we have all gone through or are going through this quit journey.
I know I wouldn’t be here without this terrific community👍
Stay positive and hang on tight to your quit💪
Have a lovely smoke free day🚭🆗💕🌻xx
You are off to a good start with 7️⃣ days coming soon I think. This is the site that kept me going one day at a time. Now it is over a year & still smoke and nicotine free. Freedom! It’s yours already PerryTorre, keep it now it’s in your grasp! Best wishes for your continued successful escape. 🆓
Hi Owls & Larks, dropping in to say, I'm 7 days 18 hours free. YAY! I stopped the Wellbutrin 3 days ago & feel about the same without them. Last Thursday I had to drive 11 one way & back same day and it was hard concentrating on the road. This past Sunday I had to make the same trip & was 100% focused & relaxed behind the wheel. Am still avoiding my home balcony and talking out loud, "I can do this". I've kept busy playing FB games, the heck with chores, maybe tomorrow. Thank you, thank you all for your postings, for encouragement, for information, for the mantra NOPE - I know I'm not out of the woods by far and taking it one day at a time.
Hi Corrina 125, my quit date was Monday, August 12, 2019. A new *birthday* to remember.
