And lastly...... a new baby πΆ soon, OMG π² how exciting, you are definitely doing the right thing for your family.
Fingers crossed π€ for you, the lovely people on here can answer any question you can sling st them πβΊοΈ They have been there, done that and won , some may have slipped a bit on the way (me for example lol π) but we are all winners in the end.

Yes good luck and welcome to the group. Smoking is a no no in pregnancy if that is what you mean Adam, and as you probably know, so I hope you are not too far into this to want to quit.
The first week is the hardest and then it can get easier, but the effort to quit is so well worth it.
Keep us updated.
Thanks Chris! Its my partner who's pregnant but its giving me the motivation to quit!
Okay I understand that now. Yes I thought it a bit odd that someone with a name called Adam was pregnant!!!!
I hope your partner doesn't smoke.

Hi Adam welcome to quit support and well done on making the decision to quitπ
Congrats to you and your partner on the news of your first child and what better reason for becoming smokefree. You've had some great advice already and just a heads up with the patches, they can sometimes cause sleep issues and vivid dreams so if you are using the 24hr patch and find you have any problems on the first night perhaps remove it before you go to bed and put one back on in the morning.
Shout out if you need any help Adam or just need to vent cause there's always someone around and good luck π
Hi Adam, Well done of deciding to quit before parenthood and well done for finding this forum - it's absolutely awesome for the support you could need on your quit journey.
So many tips and tricks to help, from all who have been through it - you're in safe hands here: I found advice to drink water every time I thought about lighting up really helped. Eventually I was watered- out and peeing for Britain, but smoke free!
Good luck, Annie

Hi Adam, you have made a life changing decision, good for you! Stay strong, Holly
Hi
My partner gave up with me before I fell pregnant and has been smoke free ever since, nearly 10 years!. Best thing he ever did he says. I however kept going back to the dirty fags (sneaking outside when kids asleep etcπ). This time is for good for me, stick with it as you'll have much more time to help your wife/partner as your life is about to get very busy in an amazingly beautiful wayπΆπΆππ
Hi adam I gave up on 11th February then had a heart attack on the 12th maybe I should have carried on smoking. Best thing I have ever done I'm 62 started at 12 no help just the heart attack to remind me not to start again.best of luck Steve
