long time no see - struggling here...

I keep telling myself to get thru summer and I'll be ok...it's hard. so hard. I've done so good for so long. I know I can do this. I've done it. But man...I'm feeling somewhat depressed (again). I thought that stage would be done once is passed the first time.

Anyone else feel that creeping in from time to time?

My quit was in Oct, a cold month. I've seen on here somewhere that it's easier in the cold months to quit.

Just looking for some uplifting please friends.

I'm usually Pollyanna - so this is tough to post. LOL

Thanks all, Coco

Hi Coco, first of all congratulations on your ten months quit, that's really fantastic hun👍🏼🚭😊

Yes I have to agree with ya, it IS hard☹️ sometimes for no rhyme or reason it's really really hard. I can see where you're coming from about summer, those lovely long evenings and sitting outside. Makes you want to light one up😡 but having said that a cold grey day in winter can have the same effect😩 We have to remember that we smoked at all those times in the past but that we don't want to do that anymore. We have chosen a healthier lifestyle but not necessarily an easy one. My dear Coco, you are doing brilliant and I have faith in you to get through this little sticky patch. You are a winner and although it doesn't necessarily feel like it at times, you ARE winning.

Life just isn't plain sailing and things are sent to test us. You will pass this test and be so proud of yourself. Mr Nic doesn't give up without a fight but neither do you I think. Keep on moving forward one day at a time and you'll get there. NOPE is the best way forward🚭🚭😊 Take care now and smile coz you're doing great 💐💐 xx

A 10 month quit is awesome! Well done u! U were strong enough to take on nic and win!! U are one tough cookie!

Is it easy to quit in a cold month? I don't think so! The battle isn't about the weather, its about strength of character and u have already passed that test. U are a winner!

Whenever we feel down we look to find out why. Its natural... if we can fix the why, we will feel better right? Mmm, I think there isn't necessarily any particular fix for anything... sometimes we just need time for the feeling to pass. Everyone blames the loss of something or someone... ever notice that? If this person was here it would be better... a cigarette... a bar of chocolate... a glass of wine....

U have already fought this battle for 10 months and won. Hang tough and carry on fighting if that's what u need to do. The war might not be over but u will carry on winning 1 battle at a time.

U are part of the NOPE family and we are all here if u need us. Sending hugs ur way xx

Hi coco massive congrats on 10 months quit👍 😄 so sorry you're feeling down at the moment you need to fight this like you have fought any other tough days you've had during your quit. You really need to remind yourself of your reasons for quitting because I think we perhaps forget these over time if we don't give ourselves a kick up the butt now and again try and stay strong you really are doing fantastic 😄😄
