E cig... Is this cheating??

Today is day 9 smoke free but I feel a bit like I'm cheating by using an e cig. On the plus side I have changed from Menthol flavour to fruit flavour so it feels a bit like I'm stopping!

Oh my GOD in the high heavens above! I had no idea and just checked my phone and thought why so many messages I haven't done anything spectacular recently. It was til I read your comment I saw 6 months. Ha yes that's brilliant well done to me.

I can remember way back when.... When I had special badges now I just get the run of the mill poor old Compo probably snowed under with everything these days lol.

Hi jan, no e cig is not cheating . I smoked for 30 years and have tried to pack in several times, used all NRT out on market attended cessation clases, and never got through 3 weeks. I then tried the e cig, and here I am in to my 4 month and feeling good and positive. I am now on omg nicotine and only vape when I really need too. So I would say what ever works to keep you off the real cigs use it. Well done on your 9 days Fantastic achievement stay close to this site and shout out if you need help, some lovely people here to support you on your quit journey. We all know what you are going through . Stay strong and carry on with your quit it is working x

Thanks for the support.. I was a smoker for 37 years, I tried the patches a few years ago but they just made me feel ill!! I can't wait for the day when I'm 0mg nicotine.... Well done you ! 👏👏👏

I'm on Champix, but I have an e cig at the ready (Day 3 of my quit), I'd much rather pick that up in desperation than a cigarette!

NRT isn't cheating, it's a tool for stopping smoking

Hi.. I've just checked and am shocked to find it's been more than 9 days!! I smoked my last cigarette on 05/05/15 so am on my twelfth smoke free day!!! 😀😀

Hi Jant---Naw--your ok--you aren't smoking--I used an e--I weaned down to 2 cigarettes a day and then did an E when it got bad--I don't really likem so got off them quite easily--You want that smoke out of your lungs--that's the main thing--The jury is semi out on e-cigs--but I know one thing- they are not near as dangerous as cigarettes--so you just relax--and go at your own pace-Just don't smoke cigarettes--dirty,filthy,foul,toxic--you kno -all that--Ok? Your doin fine....MmeT

Hi jant53 congrats on your 9 days. I stopped using an e-cig and am currently on 17 days smoke free and I also thought the same at first. But now even after just 17 days I am not using it as much as I was in the first 2wks also I didn't limit myself like I did the last time I try to quit. I think of it now as just another form of NRT that really works for me. Well done and keep it going. Andrew massive congrats on your 6 months over the moon for you x
