I'm 24 days without a cigarette and second time quitting ( first time I didn't do it for me)
This time has been so easy as at first before I stopped I cut down to a min as I could go then I went onto the patches I'm on 14mg atm and going to go down to 7mg on Wednesday. I do live with a heavy smoker who won't quit so I feel more proud with the temptation there 24/7 .
Right now my only issue is my horrible cough and shortness of breath but I'm guessing that will pass soon. I'm not having any cravings even when I have a bad day
Thanks for having me here and I hope your all successful in becoming fully smoke free

Hi Waddle, welcome to quit support. It's great that you're keeping strong when you live with temptation 24/7. Determination to succeed is the best tool for quitting. Keep going as you're doing great 😊
Hi waddle, welcome and a big well done on quitting , nearly a month yeahhh. Your doing Fantastic and especially with your hubby still smoking I never had a cough or shortness of breath even when I smoked, but I do know our other members have , so perhaps they will have a chat. Stay strong , and keep on with that great quit you gave going.
I forgot to put the person who I live with is my mother lol I'm glad I found this community it looks very friendly and supportive from the few posts I've read
I had the shortness of breath like two weeks ago pretty bad.... I still get it slightly (knock on wood) but it does get easier...... I would also see if anxiety is causing it....
The more you think about it the more you think you are short of breath so Its a vicious cycle that you have to break by distracting your self...
If you are concerned at all, speak to your GP.... They may be able to look further in to it.
It does pass and just think, if you kept smoking, think how much worse it would be.....
But good job!!! I think we both have the same quit day.... I did it cold turkey, not craving like I was and everyone around me smokes....
I'm not worried about it, it's just annoying lol I also think my health issues that aren't smoke related are playing a part in the breathing but I see my GP on Tuesday so going to mention it if it's still annoying me.
I too gave up with patches and this time round it seems to be going ok for me.... Although I'm not sure I would have lasted if I didn't have this support family wrapped around me!😊
25 days quit now which is fantastic, I never had the cough but I did/do suffer with SOB. I put up a couple of posts recently re SOB. After all the tests I had to see if it was asthma, COPD or other lung issues, they have said I have over breathing or hyperventilation. I have found the info really useful and I hardly notice it now😊 Otherwise there are additional breathing posts under the pinned section 😊
Good luck with your continued quit and mess with mother as much as you like....😂😂
Droopy, you have over breathing? I think i have this too. In the morning when I wake up I feel fine like I use to but once I notice my breathing it goes a lil haywire...
Going to try and find your articles on this, I only have a cell phone so I can't see the forums like normal 😟
AAG if you click on my name it brings up my profile and the posts are the second and third one down. Sorry I was going to repost them but because there's always a lot of activity on here they would get pushed back down to the bottom again...😊
I personally found it really useful so I hope it helps you too hun 😊🍀
