Hi Ryan well done on your 6 weeks quit. It's a long time since I used the patches. But I would stay on the patches till you have finished. But it is really up to you. Because everyday is different. And everyone is different too.ย

i think its best to stick with it at the moment and you will know how you feel in another couple of weeks. Well done on your 6 weeks Ryan, great quit. The fact that you didn't miss not having one on is a good sign. You are well on your way now but please don't be in too much of a hurry๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿšญ

Hi Ryan great quit๐Ÿ˜Š

I gave up with patches but started on step 2 as I felt step one was too strong nic wise for me. When I was on step 3 I kept forgetting to put one on so decided not to bother. I still carried a patch in my purse, just in case, and I had the gum too as back up. I knew that this was the right thing for me to do, BUT we are all different. Some stay on them for a bit longer than the 12 weeks.

You will know in your self when the time is right & as briar has said, there's no hurry, you do what you have to to stay quit ๐Ÿ˜Š

Hi Ryan , well done to you. I would stick to the programme, talking from experience. I thought I did not need them anymore, and stopped that was my downfall. You may be different to me, but I wouldn't risk it. :) x

Hi Ryan

I successfully quit using the patches and actually continued for probably another 8-10 weeks after I was meant to finish.

I wanted to get used to not physically smoking. I used nicotine gum as well and interspersed these with ordinary gums.

Worked very well for me and never had a puff since.

Stay on the patches gum etc. for as long as you need. Its best in the long term.

Keep going , you will beat this.

Regards

James

Hi Ryan I did the patches like you 21mg then reduced to 14mg. I often forgot to put one on and managed without. I was advised that if you try to manage without you can get caught out and suddenly want to smoke as ur not getting the nic from the patches. I was told the biggest reason people go back to smoking is they stop the patches too soon. So I would def say stick with the program but if you forget it for a day don't worry. Iv still got 14mg patches left now as forgot them so often Iv put one on today as thought it might be hard day. Then Iv got lots of 7mg patches left.ย

You might feel like u don't need them but the program is designed over twelve weeks for a reason to gradually reduce and I'm glad I stuck to it. Hope that helps ๐Ÿšญ
