I am on week 6, and haven't found it too hard to give up, but recently i have started dreaming about smoking in one way or another, and its EVERY NIGHT.
Some recent dreams have been about lighting a cigarette, taking one puff, and then throwing it out the car window, or something to that effect.
Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not massively bothered by the dream , i quite like the sense of relief that washes over me when i wake up and realise i haven't smoked, but i'm just wondering why this has started to come up now?
When i first quit, i had one dream about smoking, and then nothing. And now its every night? And they are really vivid dreams too. They feel so real, im struggling to tell the difference between dream and reality almost lol.
Am i going crazy???????

Hiya Jess, no your not going crazy, NRT can give you dreams but it sounds like your thinking of NOPE which is manifesting in your dreams.... Quite a lot of us have had similar experiences but as you say, the relief when you realise that it's not true is overwhelming 😊
Hey droopy, im not on any NRT anymore, stopped the patches about 4 weeks ago and stopped the gum about 2 weeks ago. The relief is such a good feeling, but its just quite strange how the dreams have started in week 6? I dont know, silly brain is playing tricks on me again xx
This is a good sign Jess as more oxygen in the brain promotes deeper sleep where we dream more. It's all part of the healing process and shows you're well on your way to a healthier lifestyle. I think most of us had these dreams☹️ errrrrrr maybe we're all a bit crazy on here anyway😂 Well done on getting to week 6, you're doing great🚭😊
Nope .... Just got a bit more to do now, will take about 10mins and then just gotta re grout the floor.... Will do that Saturday then that's the bathroom done😊
I am off to Blenheim palace Friday for afternoon tea so guess the diet starts Monday 🙀😊😊💜

Hi Jess, no your not crazy. I remember I used to dream I was smoking, my first ever dream I had was of Emjay telling me off for lighting up. I think I knew deep down I would let myself and her down if i went back to smoking.
Nothing crazy about dreaming you're smoking... It's just your subconscious way of really being true to your quit journey and not wanting to ruin it in any way...
Hi Jess well done on week 5 wow how the weeks are flying past. Feels good doesn't it yep had them dreams , funny I'm little bit further on and had one last night . I think it was watching that new detective series lat night, everyone in it kept lighting up in their homes everywhere, funny how you notice it more. I think for me it was on my mind when I went to sleep. I don't want one or have a desire to light up anymore, so what's that all about
Hey Maddy! its actually 6 weeks now and im not sure why my badge isnt changing! yeah i dont have the desire to smoke one now, but just the past few days have been all about smoking in my dreams lol! Oh well, last night i didnt dream at all so maybe thats the end of it for the time being??? And well done you on 8 weeks, that is absolutely amazing and i am so so so proud of you keep up the great work! XXXX
Yes you ARE crazy! Just kidding. I have had one dream that I smoked and I was devastated in the dream and then woke up and was so relieved. I was sleeping in the the patches then tho which gave me very random dreams so stopped them at night. I think it's just your mind processing the change while u sleep. 😀
Hey Andrew, didnt dream about them last night so fingers crossed thats the end of it for now yes i totally know what you mean about being devastated, but its almost addictive that feeling of waking up and the relief of knowing it was only a dream! or maybe i just have an addictive personality! haha x
