Please tell me this gets easier somewhere? I have done 3 weeks and as much as I want something to 'take the edge off' (my main enjoyment of smoking was to 'chill out')... I don't want to smoke. But my Lord, I want sleep! How long does this insomnia last? I'm so tired I could snap as quick as look at someone... Is this normal?
I need sleep!!!: Please tell me this gets... - Quit Support
I need sleep!!!
Hiya Rachel, unfortunately this is very normal at this stage but it will pass. I know it's so hard when you can't sleep, I'm not a good sleeper so I really do understand. You really are doing so well and just hang in there a bit longer and it will get better. Have ya tried herbal tea, sleepeze herbal tablets from Boots mite help. Lavender oil on your pillow, breathing excercises to calm a busy mind....... All worth a tryπ΄
Reading a book in bed, hot bath and I'm kinda running out of things nowπ³ I'll try sending some soothing hugs your way to help and please hang in there hun π€π€π€π€πx
I'm am feeling your pain Rachel, looking back, insomnia was the thing I struggled wit the most. Butππ it does pass ππ like all the symptoms of recovery that we experience, they don't last. We are all different in what we experience.
I used to get up as I found laying in bed waiting to go to sleep just made it worse.
You are doing fantastic. Have you tried the breathing exercises as these may help in relaxing your mindππ
Keep up the awesome quit you have got going ππ
Thank you both so much! I'm doing the herbal tea, no caffeine before bed etc, Im gonna give the lavender oil a shot π. If it's normal, I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and get on with it, it's just so strange for me to be struggling to sleep as I've never had a problem before (other than the kids!) so great to have your support and advice to help in the hard times, love this site πππ
