Hiya sourangsu and welcome to quit support 😃
Congratulations on your 2 months quit, a great achievement so well done👍
Sorry to hear you have a dry cough, if you go to hints and tips on the right hand side there is a post about dry cough which will explain about the reasons for it. It is a common side effect unfortunately but always a good idea to get it checked out as you already have. Hope you find the post and if not please let me know. We are happy to help you in your quit 😃 x
i can feel there is a lot of phlegm stored in my lungs, they are just not coming out
Hi ya Sourangsu, a big warm welcome to our quit support community and a big well done to you for quitting the smokes for 2 months
If you could please let either Emjay, Glolin or myself know your actual quit date, then we can add you to the Wall of Winners and keep your Winner badges upto date for you
I see Briarwood has given you some excellent advice and Emjay has bought the breathing exercise up for you Please try this
I found that exercising helped me to get rid of the phlegm but you have to spit it out into a hanky or something and get rid of it, I know its not very nice but once you've got rid of it, its flippin out of your lungs and you will reap the benefits
Hope to speak soon
Pete
Hi Sourangsu
Welcome to Quit support Congratulations on reaching two months smoke free, that is a sensational effort
As with everything else that people experience as part of their bodies healing from the 4000 chemicals in cigarettes, this will get better Have you tried taking a dry cough elixir to give you some relief from it. sipping ice cold water can help as well.
Hang in there, as it will get better..and keep up the great quit you have going
My own experience was weeks and weeks of a very dry tickly cough. Almost 3 months practically. Coughing fit triggered by talking most of the time. So annoying. Started to get concerned
All of a sudden it stopped. And not had it since.
Bleeding gums - oh yes
This giving up business creates so many side effects , but whether it 2 weeks or 2 months or a year , they will all eventually disappear and you will be healthier.
