Today is 10 days with no cig. It's been so hard I think for me because I did it cold turkey. I can breathe better and the heaviness in my chest is lifting. I think back with my last bout with bronchitis and it wasn't going away. My cough is gone. Pretty proud of myself. I thank you all for this page where I can come to and vent. You guys are awesome!

Hola Shirl,

How happy for you!!!

I quit Mr. Nic due to the cough and inability to breathe and just plain old fear of drowning in my own snot . When I quit, the cough stopped almost immediately. Not to sound corny, I pray a lot about quitting and thank the Lord for each day that I did. There are things to be done that can't be laying in bed.....coughing!!

However you can get through it....do it. Okay, more corn pone.

Forgive the grossness BUT fear of drowning can really get you to the other side. PLUS flowers ; )

Sending well wishes from Spicewood, TX.
