Hi,
I hope I'm not being ignorant but has anyone on here tried reading Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking? I found it an incredible tool, I still refer to it every now and again and I haven't smoked for 3 weeks.

Hiya madasabrush, welcome to quit support and congratulations on 3 weeks quit
Thanks for posting this as it does help a lot of people and anything that helps make the journey easier is terrific
Very glad it's helping you too x
Hi madasabrush, it really is a great book that I would recommend to anyone. I didn't manage to stop after reading it however it made sense and when I started my quit a year later I could reference to some of the things in the book that did help
Aup Madasabrush am loving your name A big warm welcome to you and a great big well done to you for getting to 3 weeks quit
I've read it, but it just didnt reach the parts that needed reaching for me but saying that, it is a good book and I suspect a lot of what Allen Carr writes about smokers is true for a lot of us.
Ermmmm, Madas, am just wondering if you could please let me know your quit date, then I can add you to our Wall of Winners and keep your Winners badge updated
Just remember NOPE,
Not
One
Puff
Ever
Hope to see ya soon, Pete
Hi Monky,
I quit on the 10th of January and I know I will never smoke again. I have tried so many times before but this is the first time I have joined a forum for extra support and it really does help, thanks to everyone for the welcome btw. I always thought I could have that one more puff and keep it under control but experience has taught me that is not the case because I understand now it is an addiction and not just a filthy habit.
Hi I read it, but also used an Ecig to help me stay smoke free. Well done on going cold turkey x
Hi madasabrush
I read it and it really helped me. It was like something clicked when I was reading it and I knew at the end I wouldn't smoke again.
It's not a great written book, was repetitive and condescending at times but like you I always recommend it to people who want to quit
Keep in touch
Xx
Hi madas and welcome to quit support,
Congratulations on your 3 weeks quit
I read it a couple of months after I quit and like others, i recommend it too to newbies as there it does tend to put smoking habits into prospective and challenges your way of thinking.
