Six days today!: Hi all, I'm so proud of myself... - Quit Support
Six days today!
Hi Luce and a big welcome to Quit Support. Are you using any Nicotine replacement eg patches, sprays gum or lozenges etc. These are all geared for helping through the early days of quitting. many members are using the Ecig as an alternative . What i can tell you is..that it does get easier.
You are almost through the first week ...Stay strong....Have a look at some the info on the right hand side of the screen under the topics heading.
Drinking lots of water helps as it helps flush out toxins....go for a walk..do things to take you mind off the dreaded cigarette... do some breathing exercised to relax you- (instructions under the All things quit support) topic.
You have made the best decision you can for your own health...hang in there
Hello Luce, Glolin has given you very good advice. Stay strong you can do it. xxx
Hiya Luce and welcome to quit support
Congratulations on your 6 days quit, well done
It's only natural to miss your cig, it's that hand to mouth action that we did so much of. I remember someone on here saying they used a cinnamon stick to help them
It takes a bit of time to train our brain but it will get easier for you
Chewing gum or sucking mints will also help so stay positive and be very proud of your achievement, nearly your first week which is terrific ) x
Well done on your six days in, all the advice above is spot on in my opinion too.
stay strong you are through the worst of it and the cravings will get less. If you are doing it cold turkey then massive respect to you hun, you are officially AWESOME x
Hi Luce x, Welcome to quit support. Well done for bring 6 days smoke free. That is really good. I am using the E cig that as helped me lots. That might help you not to think of mr nic or having a cig as well. But keep up the good work. You are doing great x
Hi ya Luce, a big warm welcome to this lovely quit site and a massive big well done to you tooooo for reaching very nearly 1 week quit
I can see you have had loads of great advice already Luce we all try to help each other on here and their a lovely lovely bunch of friendly people Just come and have a chat with us, cos I tell ya, it helps
Soooo, you should be proud of yourself, cos I tell you gal, quitting the cigs is by no means an easy task I know that, we all know that cos we are all in the same boat as you are Luce, maybe at different stages, but we are or have been where you are now
You just think Luce, that flippin mr cig has been the boss of you for sooooooooo long gal now its your turn to be the flippin boss of him cos you've put your foot down this time and its flippin staying down too When that mr cig comes a calling at the front door, welcome him in, then show him the back door and kindly guide him out with a big smile on your face and with your head held high
Luce you dont say whether your using any form of NRT or you going it cold turkey, I would love to know please PS, your new Winners badge is on its way to you right now
Hope to speak soon Luce, Pete
Take it one day at a time......the start is always the hardest but maintaining the quit is key, think of the reasons why you decided to quit and stay motivated....
