Morning!!!

Yep the side effects of quitting are so varied for all of us. I've got a really sore mouth through ulcers and my dreams are off the scale......

Stick with the quit though you are doing so well....don't let a poorly belly distract you if you can help it......it's gonna get easier.

Have a good day at work....x

Hi Sharon. I hope you had nice day at work. :D x

Arh I love coming home from work to you lot, thank you emjay for sprinkling that fairydust it sure worked!! I really really would rather have my tummy pains than all the problems I had when I smoked, when I returned back to work today one of the nurses came in and smelt like an ashtray, you would think with all her training and experience she would quit but I suppose Mr nic doesn't care who his victims are, I chatted to her briefly about smoking and her reason for not quitting is weight gain????? Shes worried she will put on weight? I would rather put on a few pounds than die, and as Monky said if u can beat Mr nic I'm sure I can lose a few pounds when I'm ready, shame we convince ourselves or should I say lie to ourselves why we can't quit xx

Hi Sharon, glad your first day back is done :) I started my new job on Monday but today is a holiday day for the company :)

Hope your belly is a wee bit better. I think constipation is one of the more common side effects of quitting but really does sort itself out quite quickly (thank goodness). Lots of fresh fruit tends to help, though your family may not appreciate it!

My next challenge is slimming world, I've achieved and outstanding 5 stone weight gain since quitting....for anyone looking in this is NOT normal, I'm just greedy :).....so you poor souls will end up with me whining about that :) and in the meantime if I find any helpful fruit or veg I'll tip you the wink :)

Arh lily, I feel your pain with weight gain, I've put on 3st since going thru menopause early and scoffing, now I can feel it creeping on more since my quit so I no I'm gonna be on the losing weight website nxt lol, I love my food even more now I can taste it more since the quit, but we can try and help each other, when the weather gets a bit better I'm going to try and do a bit more walking and go from there, I looked at a rescue dog today because I'm missing archie so much and hoping if I pass the checks I can get him nxt week and then I will get back to walking a dog, I never thought I would get another dog after archie but it feels empty at home without a dog xx

Oh I so hope you manage to get your dog. It's so awful coming home to an empty house when you're used to the greeting of a furry companion and there are so many poor wee souls who need a loving forever home. Best of both worlds for both of you :) lots of pics if you do get him please :) x
