Ok well, I thought the phlegm was going, but alas not, its back with dark brown(?) bits in it. Reading up this would appear to be normal. I crave a smoke once in a while, the e-cig helps, but lets face it, its no Golden Virginia!
I am having hell of a stressful time at work, and am personally amazed I haven't crumbled but its now a challenge, I'm not quitting smoking, I'm resisting the urge to smoke, I'm in charge, not the tobacco.
I still love the smell of a fresh roll up being smoked, but hate the stale stink of a smoker. I've piled a heap of flab on so am back to the gym and 1200 calories a day as well. Man, I know how to make it hard eh...

Daemon, Your doing fantastic, and you will get times where it is a challenge. With your positive mind you can easily beat old Nic. Stay strong you can do it.
Daemon I have reposted one of Emjays posts with reference to phlegm. etc.
Smoking paralyses the tiny hairs, or cilia, which line your windpipe and helps to clear dirt and mucus out of your lungs. When you stop smoking, the cilia start to work properly again and so you may experience more coughing and phlegm. If you can imagine all those hairs laying flat for so long and now that you've stopped they kind of say "right lads, let's get back to work again" and as they start to move it causes a dry tickle... This is a positive sign of recovery, showing that your body is getting rid of the tar and toxins which smoking has left in your lungs. These symptoms may last a while but can be soothed by drinking plenty of water or using sugar-free boiled sweets to help keep your throat moist.
However, if you're coughing persists and you become worried, please make an appointment to see your GP.
