Hi michelle, welcome to quit support and first of all I want to congratulate you on 26 days quit, that's terrific :)

Sorry you not feeling so good right now but as you probably already know, it gets really tough at times :(

You are now hitting a bad spot but it will pass and what you are feeling right now happens to a lot of others too :)

Can I ask you if you are using any Nicotine replacement or are you cold turkey coz it helps to understand the situation a little better :)

You are doing really well and if you read some of the old posts, it will help you to see other members stories. Some of the other members also suffered anxiety and they will give you lots of tips to help, please stay with us coz it really helps to chat to others in a similar situation :)

Things will get better, so hang in there coz it really is worth it :) x

Aup Michellenanny, its lovely to see you here :) :)

A massive big well done to you for reaching your 26th day of no smoking :) :)

These symptoms your experiencing are getting to be pretty normal now, like with other members too :o

I will hasten to add, if you have any concern then please consult your GP :)

You have been smoking 30 a day for 27 Years, soooo its a big big change to your body and mind :o

Briarwood has given you some great advise :) :) maybe, go and treat yourself with all that new found money you have, this may perk you up a bit eh :) :) Enjoy spending it :) :)

I will bring a breathing exercise up to the top of the posts wich may help you :) It takes a bit of working out, but just try it :)

Please stay with us and we will try to help you :)

Hi there michelle, Welcome to our lovely community. These feelings you are getting at the moment is a good sign. This means your body is getting rid of all the toxins from smoking. Your brain is still adjusting to not smoking. Briarwood and Pete have already given good advice. Stay positive and you will get through this rough patch. Just think how much better you will feel healthier and wealthier. :)

Hi Michelle,

Congratulations on your quit so far. you are doing great :)

I too went through a panicky stage around the same time. It really impacted on my concentration etc. I am happy to say, like each other part of my quit process it did pass :) :) For me, it lasted for about a month. I just looked at it as another process my body has to go through while doing it cleansing :)

Good luck on your quit journey and stay focused :) :)

That's normal to those who wanted to quit smoking. You still crave for it no matter what. But as long as you stick with your decision and have that discipline to never go back to it because it will just ruin your health, I'm sure you'll get through it. People around you can help you quit as well. Or you can be more active to some physical activities like sports. This will avoid your urge on smoking cigarette. Anyway, others try to vape electronic cigarette as well like me. I found it as a better alternative to smoking. I don't smoke traditional cigarette now and I don't feel the urge to go back. You can do your own research about it and if you believe that it can help you in some way, then there's nothing wrong in trying.
