Hi Andy, your doing ever soo well :) :)

My advice would be yes, get a little something to help you :) if you get an e-cig perhaps go for the low nicotine one, or the inhalator and again the lowest nicotine one, I think its 11mg, these will give you that bit of help when you need it :)

There's loads of different forms of NRT, just nip to your local supermarket, cos they usually have a good assortment :) :)

Hiya Andy, 5 days is great and the first week is the hardest, so at this stage the nicotine has really gone, whereas the first few days there's enough in your system to keep you going. It kinda peaks around now but if you can manage to hang in there for another couple of days, things will ease off a bit. It is really hard and you're doing ever so well. Having said that if you feel that using NRT will help get you through it, then that's ok too. Have a read of some other cold turkey quits on here and see if that helps. Also the breathing techniques can help the cravings pass, on the right under pinned posts. Stay strong😊x

Thank u for ur advice I think for my sake as its making me constantly feel sick a e cig low dosage will be the best thing for me. Will muster through the weekend and get one on Monday hopefully that will calm things as breathing excercises are making me feel more sick

Hi again Andy, if you have a petrol station near you, then these sell e-cigs, but of course at a higher cost :o soo, if you find it really hard over the weekend, you can always get one from somewhere :)

try to get out into the fresh air when you can and keep yourself busy :)

Hi Andy, like Briar and Monky have said whatever keeps you quit is a great thing. Cold turkey is a real so and so and the first week and probably a way into the second week is definitely not for the faint hearted. My poor hubby thought I'd been taken over by some form of demon I was that bad 👹 if you can stick with it all the nicotine will be out of your system and those pesky little nicotine receptors in your head will start to go to sleep but if it really is driving you (and all those around you) crazy then go for the e-cig. Anything to keep you off the real things. Good luck x

hi,i have used an e cig since i quit, and i think it has saved me from the evil fags.

Hi Andy

Its all psychological & chemical fix now. You have no nicotine left, so your body is crying out for it. 5 days cold turkey is just amazing.

I would now keep telling yourself, "im goinmg to buy an ecig on MOnday and the problem will be gone when I take my first drag"

Then on Monday tell yourself you will get it Tuesday morning , keep going.

You have done so well. But if you do use an ecig get the lower dose.

Whatever happens - you are now no longer a smoker. Enjoy your escape from slavery
