Morning all. As today is the BIG Quit day I joined up this morning to have some moral support and learn from others experiences. Hope it is not going to be as scary as it feels right now.

Hi Rusty,

Welcome and well done for deciding to quit, the best choice you can EVER make.

How are you quitting? are you going cold turkey, or using patches/ecig etc?

Everyone here is super friendly and if you need anything or just to rant then pop back on :)

Good luck and stay strong x

Hey Rusty!

Huge congratulations on deciding to quit, like Pinkie says, it is the best decision you can make, and you have definitely come to the right place, lots of support, and we are all in it together, united we stand :)

I was so scared of quitting! And it has still got its hard moments, but has got so much easier the more days on I am from starting to stop. You need a plan for what to do when the tough times are, I guess I made it easier for myself by using an ecig this time, cos I'd worked out what I'd need to do when the cravings struck. Also 'doing' something else. Cleaning, walking, especially walking for me. We're all different, so like Pinkie's asking, it depends how you're doing it and what works best for you.

Wishing you a great start to your stopping journey!

Just holler, or chat, or anything really, we all want to help any ways we can. This site is a huge support for me and I'm sure will be for you too :)

X

Hey Rusty, Welcome to this great site.... Is it scary.... Yep,....... is it worth it.... most definitely..
