Well done! Day one is the hardest. Your body and mind is in shock and can't understand why you are denying it.

Stick in there, it'll pass xx

Days 1-5 are really hard and then it starts to get better. I am on week 5 and I am not having any fierce cravings at all....just little reminders/ whispers every now and again. The brain's a funny thing, it will try to con you into smoking because it's wired that way right now. It will take a long time for it to forget completely but it does get easier...I promise.

Hi Prestige and welcome. I too quit cold turkey and was sitting on my hands for at least a fortnight at the beginning. :o How long did you smoke for? You can't break the habit in just a few days. Try to distract yourself and I was continually eating mints. You have done really well taking that first step, stay focussed, come and join in the daily chat and it will get easier and you will succeed. Good luck, Andi :)

WELL DONE on quitting cold turkey,as I've said loads of times before it's not something I could've done.Just try very hard to stay busy and if the craving gets really bad shout, dance, run, walk do whatever it takes until it passes. It only takes 2 days for the nicotine to leave your body, anything after that is your mind playing tricks.Everyone on here will help you as much as possible, all you have to do is ask.Good Luck, you CAN do this.H x
