Good morning, good morning, I wonder what the weather,s going to be like today, it doesn,t look very promising in Liverpool, not to worry there,s always tommorow ( hopefully ). Whatever the day throws at us try and stay positive and enjoy it, as long as we all stay away from smoking then thats a bonus :D

Good Morning Madi..well here on the Hampshire south coast,it's looking and feeling like a summers day, blue sky, sunshine, and a nice refreshing breeze now and then. Love the pic today..perfect :) I'm still a smoker at present, but as you can see from me being here ,letting go is not far from my thoughts :) A gentle day for me today,my pains are definately making me feel and move like I'm 40 years older than I am.

Talking of Age..yesterday I did a job for a lovely gentleman, who sadly had lost his wife 3 months ago (so we had a common ground) he was agile, full mental faculties , a laugh, and 94 !! he was amazing, his wife had been 96 ,he was her toyboy he said. I looked and listened to him and found it hard to believe that he had seen nearly a centuary pass..he behaved more like a 40 - 50 year old. It just goes to show its not our age that ages us,its how we do life and all it throws at us. He was truly an inspiration.

Talking of which..love and thoughts to Nelson Mandala and his family,

Have a good one Madi and all, life is precious ,a gift, make the most of every moment and give love and kindness to all you meet x

Hi Jan, nice to hear from you. It seems ages since we had a good chat. I hope your feeling a bit better after your sad loss, how are your Sons doing ? Glad your having some lovely weather cos we aint :( Yesterday was fantastic, but today it,s gone downhill, never mind were alive. I was talking about Nelson last night with my Hubby, If I were his Wife I would let him slip away, I think he,s gone through enough, they are keeping him alive for themselves, I can understand it,s hard to let someone go when you love them but enough is enough, let him slip away in peace. I agree with you about the age thing :) it,s the way we deal with it thats the problem, if your in constant pain it,s hard to enjoy life but I always think that there,s others out there feeling a lot worse than me, it,s awful that it take,s someone else,s misery to make us feel better but that,s the only way to deal with things, negative always brings positive. Hope your pain eases off Jan, enjoy the sunshine and send a bit to Liverpool please.

Take care.

Good morning Mad and Jan.

The sun's still shining down south - for now - should be getting the rain later this afternoon. I nearly went back in the house for my coat this morning, though, as it was so cold - is this really summer? :o :P The good thing is that it's not as wet as it was last year (so far) so we can be thankful for small mercies. :)

I don't think it'll be long now for Nelson, let's hope it's sooner rather than later for him.

Maddy1, come and join in the chat to help you keep focussed. Re the inhalator, how about not replacing the cartridge every time. Also every time you reach for it you could maybe say to yourself "No, I'll wait another 10 or 15 minutes". Perhaps the craving will pass and in time you will forget to have those extra puffs. It will take time but I know you'll get there in the end. :)

It,s freezingggggggg Andi, and if you were here you would need a coat, believe me. I,ve got the heating on at the moment, got to go shopping so the coat will be coming out of the wardrobe AGAIN. I am sick and tired of putting clothes away and then getting them out again, never mind at least we,ve got clothes and heating to enjoy.

Ah poor Madi,no sunshine :) I'll do my best I'm blowing it right now .

Yes I agree Nelson has been through so much ,he should be allowed to go with the dignity that he deserves a peaceful slip away. Sadly in this day and age medicine is sometimes used wrongly ,to keep us alive when really it is our time..let nature do what nature will..we all have to go sometime, and he has done what he was here to do. My neighbours husband is in the same boat, being kept going ,when he really needs to be allowed to go. We wouldnt treat animals like this ,we allow them to go peacefully, and so we should, but we should allow humans the same .We all have a time, and we need to learn to accept that, and stop the suffering.

My eldest is a bit up and down(he's like his mum in many ways) if something goes wrong he feels he cant cope and wants to give up ,feels nothing is worth it..but he's getting there,my youngest is a chip off his dad and is just getting on ,although I keep an on him as I know (like his dad) he's holding a lot inside. I've cried this morning,a song set me off ,but between us all we keep the ship afloat, bolstering each other .

Sunshine should be with you this afternoon..it is quite a way from here to you :))

When life get,s so painfull for us we all feel like giving up and then the survival instinct kicks in and we find a way to carry on and just enjoy the nice bits, so for today I.ll enjoy the central heating until the sun comes out :D I am sure you will all have crying days, thats normal and sometimes a good cry seems to ease the pain, I hope your physical pain gets easier for you today and then you can deal with the mental pain, both together is not nice :( You.ll get there Jan. I read on the Internet that Nelson had died but there,s nothink on the news so I dont know who to believe.I can,t see the point of covering it up but who knows what these Governments get up to.

Oh well, life goes on, for now anyway, so I must go and do some shopping and mybe lunch in a Garden Centre, ( at least it,ll be warm inside ). Take care Jan.

My first comment! I quit smoking 5 years ago, but I left it too late and was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer 3 years ago. I managed to beat it for a while, but it has come back with its friend liver cancer so things might not be looking so great now. )-:

The one thing I would say is that having experienced both quitting smoking and chemo/radiotherapy and invasive surgery, quitting smoking is a lot easier. Personally I just stopped without any of the aids and thought about all the money I was saving and would spend instead on holidays!

Hopefully nobody will object if i take the opportunity to post this, a song I'm releasing next week if we finish it off. This is "just" the demo, the studio version should be epic, and all the proceeds will go to cancer charities as I'm giving the song away on soundcloud and then asking for donations on justgiving. That way the taxman has to give us money!

The video is mostly a few gags based on pictures of me as a child, but if you stay with it until near the end, you'll see why I've posted it in "Quit support"...

Evening Everyone, I'm only just back at the hotel now, long, long day! Left iPad at home so having to use my phone :-(

The weather is quite mild here, just started a few spots of rain but think its needed.

Hey Mad, I've not caught up on any news yet about Nelson, best wishes and thoughts to his loved ones though... Hope you warmed up a bit in the end today! :-/

That's great advice for Maddy1 Andi, the support given between you all is fab. It's what makes everything work on this community. How do you feel after your hot yoga Andi? I'm keen to hear how it goes for you, if you feel more supple or not :0)

Maddy1, don't feel like a failure for using your inhalator. It's there to help you and you're heading in the right direction so keep up the good efforts. You can do this!

Jan, its still really early days for you since you and your boys sad loss. Time is a great healer and you are doing well to stay so positive :-)

Johnkneem, great to see you on the daily chat. You're out there spreading the word too. Your clip is brilliant, although serious it still makes me chuckle. Stay strong and we're with you all the way :0)

Vee, lots if luv n hugz and positive vibes winging its way across to you. We're here for you if you need us xx
