Just put this on another post, but it amused me so i thought i would share it! :0)......
Is tobacco a poison in it's own right or is it the additives that cause the problems?
If so, would it not make more sense to stop adding them and create, essentially, a 'healthy' cigarette?
Governments would still get their taxes, us little people would get our pleasure and everyone would be happy! :0)

Ideally, in a perfect world it should only be good clean oxygen that enters your lungs. This is the best way of keeping your lungs as healthy as possible.
I'm just thinking about your cat there, have you checked through its ancestry.... It may be from Australia

In answer to your question about tobacco being a poison, the answer is YES. There are some forms that are less "harmful" (for want of a better word) but at the end of the day, tobacco is a poison. It used to be used as an insecticide til it got banned a number of years ago.
If you look up tobacco on Wikipedia, it makes very interesting reading.
