My beautiful mum passed away last Friday after suffering PSP for around 7 years . My heart is breaking but I feel a sense of peace as she is now free of this cruel disease . She came down with a chest infection which didn't respond to antibiotics . She bore this illness with courage and dignity and for her I am so glad it's over . God bless you all and this site which has given me enormous strength . RIP sweet lady .

So sorry to hear your sad news, PSP is a very cruel disease and it sounds like your mum bore it very bravely. Thinking of you as you grieve for this special person in your life. Xx
Elizalou I feel your pain, look after yourself sending hugs xx
My sincere sympathy to you and your family. Such a tough disease. Even though she's at rest, I know it's hard to let go. I fear my wife is in her final months and it makes me weep just to think of her passing. God bless you. Ketchupman
Thinking of you. My mother died in January, aged 85, also from a chest infection that did not respond to antibiotics. I know how disoriented you must be feeling in the first few weeks. Things will get better for you and I send you warmest wishes. You must be a strong and resilient person to have looked after your mum during her long illness and I hope these qualities see you through the coming months.
