Hope the winner but not by KO

Thanks a lot for sharing your posts here. My Mum has PSP and while she's a ways ahead of you on this journey it is helping me to understand some of what she must have gone through. This post especially struck a chord
Thanks again for sharing. I witnessed this fight in my husband quite regularly during the time around his diagnosis and even more so when he hit some major setbacks. Some of the things he would say were quite devastating to listen to. Happily hope always won out 🌻and he remained positive, determined and receptive to the love and empathy around him.
I would like to mention that PSP can/will affect the emotional regulation and make it hard to recognise and "snap out of" the spiralling darkness. It is great that you can write and share what you're struggling with. At times you may need medical help (drugs) to improve emotional regulation - and those around you need to be aware as well, so that they can intervene in ways that you would find helpful and welcome.
Please use the time now to discuss this with your family and doctors.
I wish you the best. Please Stay Positive and chose hope - always🌻🌻🌻🌻
PSP IS A VERY CLOSE RELATION TO PARKINSONS. and we say that it stands for Please Stay Positive! I love ur attitude, and say "Keep it up". ..... I am 7 yrs into PSP, and still smiling (most days!) TimbowPSP
Be kind to yourself. What you are doing is grueling work. I only know this vicariously, but I was in awe of the human spirit my husband showed in the throes of PSP and truly doubt I could ever be so brave and so positive. Thank you for sharing your truths with us.
