PSA bounce b4 Radiation!

An update...

Diagnosed 6 months ago, opted for ADT + EBRT, started with Casodex for 3 weeks and Zoladex LA 10.8mg every 12 weeks.

PSA dropped from 87 to 7.74 with Testosterone down to 0.7. That was 3 months ago, yesterday I received by latest blood results PSA up to 9.14 and Testosterone up marginally to 0.8. My onc said to expect PSA to be down to about 1 when I saw him 3 months ago, I see him again tomorrow. I’m aware that there can be a bounce in PSA after radiation, but I wasn’t expecting it before then. I appreciate that an increase from 7.74 to 9.14 is not a big increase, but I’m a bit shell shocked that there has been any increase. I can’t seem to find any reference to an increase this early in primary treatment and can’t help but worry that it may indicate a more aggressive tumour than first thought. Has anybody experienced anything similar? What was the outcome?

60 year old with heart disease, COPD and osteoarthritis to name a few!

The Staging is cT3bNxMx with bilateral extracapsular extension and seminal vesicle involvement. There is no imaging evidence of bone or lymph node disease. However the MRI guided biopsy was assigned a Grade Group 5 result.

I’ve picked out the coffin, they’ll carry me off in!!
