Just to let others know they need to join Vasculitis forum to vote or comment … not that it’s a problem .

Worth it to have a rant though!

I voted and I 🚫. I'm all about safety and protection. I'm more than disappointed about the number of people in the US that are not vaccinated as well as the number of people in drug stores etc. without masks. We mask wherever we go. The Delta variant is dominant in many parts of the US now and I think it is a big mistake to throw caution to the wind. They say opinions are worth what you pay for them, mine is always free but there is some thought behind it. The best we can do is protect ourselves 💖

I agree with everything you said. This pandemic is far from over and I just don't understand what people are thinking going around without masks. We're vaccinated but we still wear our masks and sanitize.

Thank you Pro. Can I ask you...What exactly is Vasculitis? When I got my diagnosis of PMR my Gp said it was a form of Vasculitis, which I assume is inflammation of the blood vessels? Isn't that what Pmr is?

Quite right - inflammation of the blood vessels which can be identified in GCA with biopsies but in PMR it is generalised inflammation in tissues around joints that can be seen rather than specific arteries unless you have large vessel vasculitis or GCA and have PMR symptoms as well.

Looks like to comment or vote we have to join. But I am very unhappy about it. Waiting for open heart surgery, backlog is already a mile long!

Yes you do, as I said in first reply above…..but you can join, vote, and then unjoin if you don’t want to stay on forum.

Thanks for info

It isn't like joining this - not a very busy forum and it does have stuff relevant to GCA. They consider themselves the specialists in GCA - PMR doesn't count ...

One day I will tell you a long story about Vasculitis UK. Remind me.

Ok I will join, thanks for info

Somehow or other, I responded to this yesterday --I thought it came up here on the PMR Forum and I have no memory of having to join Vasculitis. But maybe that is something I have done way back - in order to look at a specific post - and I'm already signed up.

It seems to me to be more about the economy and less about public welfare. Masks are a nuisance but better than dying given the fact flu has disappeared this year one can assume the protocols for covid have had something to do with it? So why change things. Stay home for your holidays we have a very nice Island to explore keep your distance sanitise wear masks and live a healthy long life. Who needs to fly in a covid incubator. They need us more than we need them I am old enough to remember my holiday was a day out on the church trip travelling to foreign parts was unheard of we have raised expectations to ridiculous levels we just need to promote the new normal and get on with it.
