When I press Alerts which have, I only get “This is where we'll notify you when others follow you or interact with your posts and replies.”
I don’t get the Alerts any more. Is it just me or is there a problem for everyone? Or am I doing something wrong?!!
I get that occasionally -but it then sorts itself out with me doing anything.
It’s probably just HU doing its HU things-but as it was offline yesterday for maintenance -might worth logging off and in again -if that doesn’t sort it then follow advice in top entry in Pinned Posts..,
Ah I thought it might be some bug. Seems to be the story of my life!!
Some people do seem to have more issues that others -perhaps your provider is more sensitive than others. If I have one setting on my laptop it doesn’t like HU!

PS -stupid question but are all your devices updated to latest version of software..

I have a lot of them when people reply to me for example. This post from me should send an Alert, which will display a number next to Alerts at the top right hand side of the page.
If you’re using an iPhone the icons are at the bottom of the page😉
Ah, I have an iPhone 6, a throw out from my nephew in 2017, and I am lucky if it shows anything!

I’ve just inherited my son’s iPhone 13 -which according to him is old hat!
My nephew is supposed to be giving me his old iPhone 14 at some point. Paid for by the taxpayer, so I suppose I own it anyway!!
I just clicked on Alerts on the top bar on my computer - came up with the drop down list. I don't ever use it as it is full of notifications that someone liked a post and nothing useful ...
I've been conversing with HU help for about a week regarding that issue, which I've never had before.
Just checked and my notifications are back.
I had never had it before either. It had to be a computer bug I think.
I thought about using a different browser because Chrome can be weird, but I was having the same issues with my phone. Although maybe my phone uses Chrome too? I'm not really phone-literate.

I stopped getting notifications of private messages a few weeks ago, so now I simply check occasionally for them and apologise for any delay in responding.
PM notification emails are very hit and miss at the best of times I find.
I have just spent most of the morning trying to fill in a charity commission annual return. It took me an hour and a half to actually find the actual page. I went round and round. Aghhh. I will never complain about HU’s software ever again. On to my tax return now!
Just been for Covid booster -didn’t factor in when booking that pharmacy is next to a park and cafe and it’s Easter break and lovely and sunny.. cars, kids and dogs galore! And an ice cream van… home for a rest !
Life is just getting too much!! I had my car tax form today as well and I managed to fill it in with NO problems, so it has not been all bad.
