Paul Howard on the Lupus forum posted this earlier and I wondered if anyone was interested in making enquiries. I think we qualify as long term takers of medication!!

Have just had an email from them to say I haven't completed the survey! What's that all about? I answered every question.

I think you posted a link to a book you recommended, available from Amazon, that was a good overall look at PMR. I can’t find it, could you send me that link, please?

Thanks

Wasn't me, no. If I recommend a book it is the NE charity one, but I assume you mean Kate Gilbert's book if it was on Amazon:

That is the link for the UK - there will be another for the USA. If you look at the "Also bought" list, Baskhar Dasgupta's book is more aimed at professionals - it is a collection of articles by doctors/researchers and a pretty difficult read if you don't have a medical science background.

Thanks for your speedy reply. I was surprised by the number of books offered!

From what I have heard and read in the "Look inside" offers - most of them aren't worth even a quarter of their price. Except Dasgupta and Dejaco's (the latter is my rheumy) but it really isn't suitable for laypersons - not being snooty or anything but they just won't understand it.

Thanks PMRpro and done - also the opportunity for some 'good' implicit 'education about how PMR and GCA should be added to the list of chronic conditions requiring long term meds - rather than the 'mere' category of 'other' !! (LOL)
