if you look at the side bar you will see related posts about turmeric. I know people have found using it and garlic in cooking seemed to help them in that they noticed if they missed it. The supplements are much higher dose and have caused gastric problems for some. It is also contraindicated with some medications.

I swear by Turmeric. For the past year I've been researching herbs/foods that fight inflammation and it is working for me. I went on the Mediterranean diet, which is not a diet but a lifestyle change and since November I have lost 15 prednisone pounds and I don't feel hungry or cheated.

The herbs I use that are anti-inflammatory are: ginger, turmeric, cardamom, black pepper, ginseng, green tea, rosemary, cinnamon, pineapple. The list goes on and on. All I can say is it is working for me, my joints aren't stiff and sore like they used to be and I finally have energy, which is something I haven't had in years. I put turmeric on my eggs in the morning with black pepper, the pepper helps with the absorption of turmeric.

This may not be for everyone but all I can say is it's a healthy way of eating and has made me feel so much better. I wish you all the best and one can never go wrong by eating healthy.

Sally that’s so encouraging ... I take turmeric in capsule form ( when I remember ), but I’m so impressed by your weight loss only since November - exactly what I need to do. Shall try harder.

I take 1000 mg with black pepper capsule. I cannot take antinflamatories such as aspirin, ibuprofen, advil or such. I found that turmeric help me. I asked my doctor and she said that if I feel better, it doesn cause any harm.

I take turmeric and black pepper three times a day with my kratom dose because the turmeric makes the kratom effects last longer and the black pepper makes for better absorption of the turmeric. I can definitely confirm that the kratom is excellent pain relief, but I haven't noticed distinct benefits from the turmeric other than making the kratom last longer. (I suppose it may be helping reduce pain; dunno!) I figure turmeric is healthy for you, so it's still good that I am having it three times a day.
