Just been told my last post is being deleted. My bad.... it is good that it is because two dear friends here are all worried about me so that post did not go the way I thought. You would think by now I would realize I am not funny while trying to be serious.

My GP diagnosed gastritis about 4 weeks ago. Then I called with pain in left lower abdomen and doc on call had me go to ER. Cat scan showed diverticulitis. Anyway, diverticulitis pain is ok. My new rheumatologist said not to start new actemra which I got approved but do not have until I see her. Not sure when that will be as we are restricted until mid July. No one in hospital I was in and out in 1 1/2 hrs. Fastest ER ever.

What has me all sicker than a dog is the antibiotics. 3 more days. Finally eating solid food. The first antibiotic augmentin I was violently ill for 9 hrs when it finally subsided. Back to ER for dehydration and IV antibiotics. I This trip was almost 5 hrs getting IV’s n stuff . I don’t ever remember a night where I was so sick.

I have a dear friend n neighbor who has been taking care of my shopping. I am able to compensate her which she keeps refusing but I won’t have it any other way.

I am seeing a counselor due to 4 yrs of being weary and stuck basically at 20 mgs. Of prednisone. I want off this ride.

Thanks J and P all is good I just feel like crap.

Not deleting but we were worried about you. You have had such a lot going on.

It's great when neighbours help and it's been very enlightening to see who helps and who doesnt.x YBB

I am so lucky we both paint, do our bible study together. She calls me her buddy. She is fun ..... now delete that post so no one gets upset. Not my intention.

Just glad you "okay"......obviously all the body stuff is a nightmare and I hope you feel better soon. 🌻

My neighbour has been helping me out and I decided I will get her a big bunch of flowers and the kids a present when it's all done. Hopefully I get then in person!

It only takes one good friend to make a difference I find. It doesn’t take crowds. Sounds as though you know exactly what to do and you do have the strength and endurance to carry on. Get fresh air and experience some nature if you can and keep praying.

I know it sounds trivial but I’ve found jigsaws are a wonderful distraction in bad times.

I have been doing adult colouring books ....not my usual painting but the psychedelic book I am.on keeps me busy. 👀

So sorry to hear you’re going through a rough patch Lin., but pleased that you have a good neighbour and buddy to help you. It is hard to be on the receiving end of help when you’re so used to being the “giver”. You helped me so much Lin when I was struggling to adjust to using the CPAP machine. Despite being on the other side of the world, your words encouraged me and I eventually overcame my fears and anxieties. Thank you once again.

Now I hope you will let others help you so that you feel very much better soon. Sending virtual gentle hugs. Take good care.

Linda

Lin I really hope you feel better soon. I think most of us can relate to just having had enough at times. I certainly have! Hang in, it will get better. You have had a really rough time. Wishing you all good things!

I`ve had PMR and GCA for more than 5 yrs, and I am also stuck around 20 - 25 mg pred. My stomach has been hurting a lot lately and I can get really sick sometimes. My gp says it is the pred that ruins my stomach. I buy empty gel capsules and put all stong tablet in ( pred, metformine, antibiotic and so on .... ) That helps a lot. Mabe you could try that. I still hurts sometimes and have to watch what I eat, but It is a lot better with the capsules than without. Good Luck . Stella

I really wasn’t having trouble with my stomach until the night of vomiting from augmentin. It was the worse ever. Now the new antibiotic makes even water taste awful. 2 more days n I will be done with it. I take my nausea pill which makes me sleep so just figure to sleep it off.

Hi Lin, l knowhow you feel about presnosone l am stuck at 22.5 mg at the moment and can't get past that. I have had GTA for year and half now .l refuse to take any more heavy medication and want to get off this dreadful stuff on my own.Even if lt takes another 5 years.

Stay strong and things will get better. All the best Jill in Canada.

Hi Jill, I keep forgetting I am not the only one who is struggling thru. May this year be our breakthrough one...

I am currently using Terry Wahls protocol. Doing coffee enemas every other day. I believe my polymyalgia came from Lyme disease. On 4 mg. of pred. Using Stephen Buhner's protocol for lyme. IT is a struggle but as long as I stay on diet and the herbs I do pretty well.

You may wish to risk your health, even your life, but I am compelled to warn others that this this is a very risky procedure for which there is no proof that it is of any benefit at all.
