Only one way to find if the claims are true or just marketing hype!! However - are you on any other medications besides pred?

This

Some people find turmeric in the sort of dose found in capsules upsets their stomach but you have to try to find out if that includes you.

Only on pred and asthma inhalers plus a few vitamins. Been taking magnesium at night and it does appear to help with sleeping. Also seems to upset my tum 😬 so going to try magnesium glycinate. Apparently it’s a cure all wonder supplement 😂😂😂. Will let you know 😳😳

I complained to the Advertising Standards Authority about a company saying their turmeric helped PMR! Amazingly enough I won and they had to remove the ad. Having said that I do use turmeric in cooking as it is supposed to help. There was a bit of research in this wit Dr Michael Mosley and it was found that fresh or powdered turmeric was a lot better. I think turmeric is helpful having said all this!

Neglected in all this is ginger, in the same family as turmeric, which has proven anti-inflammatory properties. Ginger doesn't seem to come with the various caveats surrounding turmeric, nor does it irreparably stain fabric....

The most interesting thing I took from that article is the fact that using it in cooking so it is taken after heating or with fat is more effective. Dietary versions of many things are better for us than the expensive and packaged in a capsule/tablet versions ...

I make Golden Milk which is tumeric and a twist of black pepper and milk (or plant based milk) simmered for a short while then a small spoon of honey added. This helps me with colds and viruses. I tried Tumeric supplements for a couple of months to see if it had any effect on my PMR but it did not. So I am not wasting money on them. I do use tumeric in cooking and golden milk as above. As an aside my GP is from an Indian family and his mum swears by golden milk and he uses it too so had no problem discussing tumeric's benefits with him :)

Even though it’s supposed to have good effects, it did give me runny stools. ☹️ So I had to stop taking it.
