Relief Factor

I was wondering if anyone knows about the product Relief Factor? It is suppose to be really good for relieving pain.

Have you tried it, does it work for you? One of its ingredients is resveratrol. It is an anti-inflammatory. I can't find out any info on this product and whether it can be taken with prednisone.

I would appreciate any thoughts on this.

Thanks

Linny

I don’t know, but reveratrol is an anti oxidant which is one way of helping towards reducing inflammation due to oxidative stress from free radicals but that doesn’t mean it is directly anti-inflammatory in the same sense as say Pred.

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...

summarises what is known - and has the common reservation: More studies needed.

The bioavailability is low - so while it may work in the lab, it doesn't mean it works in vivo simply because most supplements have a very small dose compared with the amounts used in the lab.

This

webmd.com/heart-disease/res...

is easier to read. And this

health.harvard.edu/blog/res...

also explains why the lab effects can't necessarily be extended to the product.

Hi linny3, might be a silly question but what kind of pain and where.... Is it pmr-y?

Looking at Amazon, it seems a bit like marmite! It also contains turmeric and omega-3.

Thank you for your replies. I have read everything offered and still unsure about the product. My question to myself is; will it counter the pred. ? Being an anti-inflammatory, it should work with the pred. I would think. Also, I wonder if it works on the immune system(making it stronger) which would work against the pred.

My pain is pmr and back pain. I would be taking it mainly for the back pain and as an anti-inflammatory to possible help with pmr. pain.

Good suggestion to ask pharmacy.

Thanks
