Having been diagnosed with suspected GCA I was readmitted to hospital as the steroids were not controlling the pain. I have now been rediagnosed with trigeminal neuralgia so a different drug regime required. I just wanted to thank everyone who responded to my initial post which helped at a very scary time. I now have a different road to follow but I wanted to wish everyone the best for the future

Hmm had to Google your condition, nasty - the side effects of medication seem similar to pred, more prone in women over 50! Until PMR I had no idea of the sheer variety of awful illnesses could befall us. Really really hope you improve quickly and the meds work well, keep us posted on your progress xxx
