it started as really bed period pain not long after she done the internal it feels like cramping and a dull burning ached but as though someone is pulling my insides out and squeezing - sorry its hard to explain, its constant and got worse over a couple of days, it has eased a little since taking the painkillers but not much i m finding it difficult to move as that makes it worse. thanks.

Hi sounds like your pelvic muscles are going into spasm, which in turn causes the dull burning inside the vagina. Did you tense up whilst she did the internal? Have you had this pain before? You can take muscle relaxants, but to be honest it might be worth gently massaging your pelvis yourself to try and release the tension or have some physio to go deeper. This will wear off, but try and not to do too much bending or stretching to let them basically "wear off".

It sounds familiar. I do understand exactly what you mean when you say "as though someone is pulling my insides out and squeezing". I am 35 now, I have had pain since I was 15, when I had my first period. I remember going to the emergency services in excruciating pain and being given painkillers, without any exploration, and sent home!!!

Have you had bad period pain for a while or is it the fist time?

It could be a good idea to write down your symptoms, what pain medication you take, if you are massaging your pelvic area, stretching, ..., for a few weeks, and if it is not getting better, go to see a physician with your notes. Hopefully this will help you, to feel more in control, and the professional too.
