bulge at the front of vagina / not prolapse

Hey so during ovulation I have crazy pain, and a sensation of buzzing / vibrating that is so strong.

In march the vibrations were worse than ever then one morning I woke up and there was a feeling of pressure in my vagina. I looked and it looked like there was something partially blocking the hole. It feels like a ball of tissue that you can move from the front wall of my vagina.

I was diagnosed in urgent care with a bladder prolapse. The bulge remained for around a week then went.

Two weeks later I saw a gyno who said that I 100% hadn’t had a bladder prolapse and the bulge was gone.

Fast forward to Monday my vibrating insides are back and last night which was day 11 of my cycle I had intense pain in my pelvis, down to my legs. I woke up this morning and the bulge is back!!!! What the actual eff?!

Please tell me someone else has experienced this

Nope. I have a womb prolapse that feels similar, no pain, and it drops down much more obviously some days than others, or sometimes if my bowels have been unusually active (watch what you eat, girl!). So not the same but sending sympathy. I know these things are frightening, and it's horrible not being in control, not knowing what's happening, and it HURTS.

It sounds like something is prolapsing but maybe not your bladder, and the pain of course is alarming. Usually prolapse symptoms are less in the morning than at night (because of gravity). You're describing something that's the other way round, that starts after you've been lying down all night.

Also you haven't shared your age (you're clearly young because you mention menstrual cycle) or you experience, if any, of childbirth, which could be directly relevant.

The pain seems to indicate something specific is going on pelvically that's causing some kind of displacement. I think you need to let a medic take a look as soon as you can while the problem is visible. There will be an answer and you'll feel better once you know what it is.

Don't panic, and good luck!

Hi, try to see a pelvic health physio as well. They can diagnose muscle weakness (responsible for prolapse) and if there are any trigger points in your pelvic muscles (they feel like a sore ball of tense tissue around and inside the vagina).

Try and take a pic with your mobile phone then you can show your Dr. Good luck. I had a v prolapse and had a mesh fitted. I was one of the lucky ones, mine worked.

Not what you're looking for?
