Im around 23 years old now, I have had a full rectal prolapse for as long as I can remember as a kid proabbly around 12-13 maybe younger. I was so stupid I never told my parents about it til a year ago or so. I have to urinate 15-20 times a day im assuming because my pelvic floor is so weak and probably never even grew properly since I had this through puberty. Has doing kegel exercises helped anybody with extremely frequent urination? I can't live like this anymore, and trying to avoid surgery because I have heard I wont be able to lift weights again properly. I just dont know what to do living like this is miserable at such a young age.

Being young you need to see a specialist for proper examinations and advice, trying to go it alone with pelvic floor work maybe not the best way to get this sorted.

I don't know if this is of any help. I think I have a mild rectal prolapse and it is when I have wind or faeces in the rectum that I get the urgency to pee. Taking larger doses of magnesium and vitamin c have helped keep any build up of faeces that cause pressure.

My biggest problem with urgency to pee was made worse with kegels and I found I needed to relax the pelvic floor. I found videos on the site below very helpful and got most relief by sitting with the pressure of a tennis ball on the perineum.

You may find some useful videos here if you want to try strengthening or relaxing the pelvic floor

If you look for ones with reverse kegels or using the tennis ball they may help.

I hope there is something here that may help with the peeing, if not with the prolapse.
