hello, after 12 years of pelvic complaints like bladder prolapse, all the time the need to pee, heavy legs etc, the made an 3D ultrasound of the pelvic flloor muscles and it became clear that at the left side the pelvic floor muscle was completely torned off from the bone. The next thing is what to do because it can not be repaired or heal itselves. I like to have anMRI of the complete area esp the muscles but living in Holland this seems to be difficult. Does anyone know where to get an apropriate mri of the pelvic muscles?Good luck you!

Hi Mrshappyme, I suffer from that too. When I do brave it it takes a lot out of me, but I do try and take breaks in between. I love walking in the forest but that has become a chore.

I simply cannot walk the distances that I used too. And have come to realise that it is pelvic floor dysfunction. I believe that I damaged muscles in 2019, slipping whilst walking on a hill, pulled over by a dog. I would love to hear if you find a way forward. With love and wishing you strength.

I do aqua aerobics to manage the pain.i feel almost normal in the water. Out of water it’s a struggle. There are time I feel normal on land then when the pain hits it’s as though I was just dreaming of being normal.

Oh, how horrible. Did they say how this could have happened?

I have a "prolapsed vagina" which my bladder is sinking into. My Dr. says a pessary will cause me too much pain. I am having issues with pelvic floor spasms. The medicine (vaginal suppositories with 10mg val, 10mg flexibility and 25 lidocaine) really helps with pain. I'd really like to get off all meds. When I stand I can feel my bladder under the vaginal wall and it right at the opening to vagina. I have been watching my 4 month old grandson (so precious) but I have been getting severe pelvic spasms. I have suppositories that help a great deal. But I really want off my meds. Vicious cycle.

I beleive that any prolapsed organ will over time cause pain and stretched ligaments and abnormal gait and lots of pain and soreness.

These problems need proper surgery to reduce the prolapse or herniation of organs.

Hrt can help and vaginal oestrogen can help if you are able to use.

Vaginal moisturiser helps also, try silk, I use this and it can make you less sore.

My legs and feet ache constantly, my lower back aches, my groins drag, I am only 57 and had to fight hard to even get correct diagnosis of rectal and bladder prolapse. My life and career have been ruined by these prolapse from a very active nurse , I have lost my home, work and my mental stability, the doctors made me feel inwas going mad saying nothing much was wrong and that I did not have a prolapse they could see!!!!

You need proper investigations to diagnose.

If this were men suffering like this, they would be sorted out within a couple of years.

Sick to death of British uro gynae consultants who do not understand the effects of prolapse on women's physical and mental health.

i do agree with you .as i v been made to feel its me when i told my dr in 2o2o up till now they say its angixty . i said it isent its the prolaspe effecting my nerves . they printed pappers out and said read them and if you think it aplys to you come back and i can give you something for it. basicaly explaining on the papers that i could be one of thoses people who think they have this and that . then it was oh befor you leave you do know your not on the op list your gyno as sent a letter saying i said how come as my dr said he was refering me for a emergency op in march 2020 so why asent he ? she said i dont know youll have to take that up with your gyno . i said ill take it up with my dr when i see him . but iv never seen hin since as they give me adifferent dr. i know there covid and i know the doctor have gone through it too. and proberly still are but the way iv been spoken to by my drs is so ill mannered and iv lost all trust and respect for them sounds bad as im not that sort of person to say something like this. but manner dont cost anything .

They need to do urodynamics and defacaeting proctogram as this will show bowel.prolapse.

Duloxetine can be good for bladder.

These prolapses have caused me depression and anxiety. They have taken.my quality of life.

I cannot take hrt.

In reality they do not know much about pelvic floor plus keel exercises have no sound research behind them.

I think ligaments stretch post menopause or from child birth , straining, heavy lifting etc.

Ligament damage is very painful also.

Good luck to you.

I think some good female MP'S need to investigate why women get such a fobbing off over prolapse.

It so difficult to work with them and I feel constantly exhausted and irritable on top of pain and soreness.

I am gonna try a specialist pelvic floor physio recommended on here by someone else..

I completely agree with this and have had very simpilar experiences. What has helped is an online American physio .Worth a try - Brianne Grogan Vibrant Health Lift program- good luck

Hi there,

Thanks very much for the online physio contact, I will research.

When organs are hesitating or prolapsing of course they are gonna cause abnormal signals to nerves and body as our bodies are trying to rebalanced.

A constant abnormal position and tension from this on muscles, joints and ligaments will all be increased surely?

So the fix is to strengthen the ligaments by pulling them back up.into.place thus bringing the prolapsed organs back into place.

Female organ prolapse, pain and its affects on the females quality of life and ability to work needs medical priority.

At one time, many married women could stop work at this stage of life if prolapses were too much and rely on hubby to bring in the finances.

Nowadays, many single women who are bread winners and need their post menopausal health to be good to enable them to work still.

It is embarrassing wetting yourself, passing wind with no control etc etc, who wants all their dignity to be destroyed while working? It is so so embarrassing.

The amount of lost taxes to governments through prolapses causing back pain and other issues needs serious consideration.

Who is gonna take up the challenge???

I whole heartedly agree. Women have been gas lighted for way too long. We need an advocate STAT.

I do, however with really good orthopaedic walking shoes, keeping hydrated all day long UNTIL 7 pm only, I have managed to push my way through the pain and heavy leg feeling.

It’s taken about 3 months but I persist. Some days I only walk for 30 minutes but at age 64 and surviving from pudendal decompression surgery, I’m happy.

Yes I use to have that feeling and could not live with it..I had the corrective surgery no mesh just swen up..due to previous pelvic surgeries this surgery left me with a nerve disorder..over time I am able to live with this problem via yoga 🧘‍♀️ and meditation it is much better but after the surgery the feeling of achingly and not being able to walk so I would recommend the correction surgery …I could not live with the feeling that my insides were going to fall out with every step I took..good luck I truly hope this helps
