Hi does anyone know a good women’s pelvic physio in Hampshire? I’ve tried to locate Ruth Jones but she doesn’t appear to be in her Sputhampton clinic anymore. Any help gratefully received.

Hi, I go to a private womens physio called Emma Upstall at the Spire, Portsmouth. Although the hospital is actually in Havant.

I also see a private consultant there very occasionally but Emma talks to her about me between visits so that saves me money.

Private message me if you like. I'm on Hampshire too.

Hi Teachersmate ,

I have recently moved to Hampshire, and be Portsmouth/ Havant are my nearest treatment centres, but my previous consultant in Cardiff recommended a consultant who practises in Winchester, so I'm seeing him privately at the moment. Just waiting for my MRI results and what my treatment plan is. So this isn't my closet Endo centre.

I'm relatively new to Endo/adeno treatment options..I would love to see a physio, pain management specialist ( my GP is reluctant to prescribe strong painkillers!). Also, are there any local support groups? In Cardiff there was an one I'd joined that was really good.

Thanks in advance xx

Hi Aussie79

I actually see a private Gynaecologist at the spire. She specialises in prolapse and pudendal neuralgia. She's not a Endo/edeno specialist so not sure she is the right consultant for you. Likewise my physio also specialises in the same area.

You could always phone the spire Portsmouth and find out who is best suited to you.

I chose to go private in order to get a female consultant closer to home. The alternative was a male consultant in Basingstoke and a long wait.

My GP sounds like yours, reluctant to do anything really. Tells me to go back and see the consultant if I suggest a change of meds.

Sorry, I haven't investigated support groups, so can't help with that either.

Hi Teachersmate,

No worries, I'm still finding my bearings with all this.. I'm seeing my consultant on Tuesday, so I'll ask him for recommendations for pain management and physios. I would have to wait until end of October to see a consultant on the NHS, so I've gone private because I can't wait that long!

Thanks for the info. I guessed as much as she has no online presence.

You could try the website pelvicphysiotherapy.com. There you can find a list of physios in England and Europe.
