Hi I am new here. And I have been living with Pelvic Organ pain for 3 years now. It has just got worse and worse. And I was shocked recently when I saw about 2 " of my insides hanging out of my body. I have been losing blood. Finding standing and walking gives me intense stomach pains. And sitting down is agony too now. With this prolapse outside of me. I cannot wee properly anymore due to only being able to drip out now. And I wake up every night desperate to keep needing to go for wees. I have been abused badly and cannot cope with pessaries. Will they make a person have one if they don't want it. I just want an operation to sort all this out. I am seeing my first Gynae on Monday and am so worried. I hope it will be a woman too. I am 61 years old. And have 1 son aged 35.

Oh no you are in a bad way. Don't worry they are amazing and will help you. Noone will force you to do anything and before anything happens you will have a consultation with the doctor. Then an examination then they will be able to go through all the options with you. Good luck and hugs

I'm so sorry about your situation. I agree with Ekks the doctors and nurses are very understanding, they are used to seeing this everyday and will need to take your 'history'. Then consider your options. Make a list of everything you want to say and ask. It doesn't matter how long or detailed it is - it really helps to organise your thoughts. And make notes if you need to. It's your body and your future. I'm so glad you've got an appointment and getting on the right path to healing. Stay strong, you deserve to feel better.

I agree about writing things down. It really helped me. The staff I have encountered have been so kind and considerate but it's still very worrying. Take care.

You could try lying on the floor with a couple of cushions or a pillow under you bottom so lifting the pelvic area up. Keep you knees bent. That way gravity will help the parts slide back inside. It might give you some relief. Take care.

No one will force you to use anything, you can ask for options and think about it at home. I would call and ask if the appointment is with a female, and request a female if that is what you want. Or for the next time. This is a valid request, you are not the only one.
