Can rectal prolapse cause flat stools? I have a GI appt. coming up and I don't know where to start. I just had my third child 13 weeks ago. I am a 30 yo F.
During my pregnancy I developed and urgency to have BMs and it hasn't let up. I wake up in the morning to have a BM almost immediately and it takes me 2 to 4 trips to completely empty. Lately it's been a lot of smallish broken up pieces. I noticed I still have stool left over in my rectum.
I also have a constant feeling of fullness in my rectum. A tailbone pressure. And a slight pressure in my pubic region as well as times.
I can see I have hemms. When I push I noticed a red bulge but it doesn't completely exit my anus.. a bunch of soft lumps that can only be seen while I am bearing down. Is this a prolapse or internal hemms I am not sure as they come from within my anus. I also noticed slight abdominal aches occasionally.
Does this sound like a prolapse? How should I approach my GI next week? I'm very nervous. any advice is appreciated.
