Clothing for swollen pelvis

This is a bit of a random question but other than jogging bottoms and pyjamas what clothing to people find comfortable?

It’s all rather depressing, I have severe stage 4 endometriosis for which I’ve had 4 surgeries so far and any further surgery comes with a high risk of causing “more harm than good”.

I’m really struggling to find anything to wear which I look reasonably presentable in and also feel comfortable. I haven’t been able to wear anything with a buttoned waist for a couple of years and now I can’t even wear those “jegging” type jeans as they all put to much pressure on my permanently very swollen pelvis.

I have always been a size 8-10 until having the mirena fitted and my 2nd chemical menopause and I’ve gained weight and now size 14-16. Which doesn’t help as I feel the weight is also putting pressure on my problem areas, I hate it and don’t even eat much but also unable to exercise due to constant pain.

I have a different condition (pudendal neuralgia), but a similar problem in that I can’t tolerate pressure on parts of my pelvis. I have discovered what I only describe as harem jeggings, (on a very famous website). I think my search was for low crotch joggers, but this was what I found. They are styled a bit like a toddlers’ leggings, so look like you could fit a nappy underneath. Not flattering, but teamed with a thigh length tunic, no one would be able to tell the difference. Some of them are a bit more snug on the calves than I anticipated, but I guess this fits in with the jeggings look.

Joggers are most comfortable with pudendal neuralgia for me. You can dress them up for a nicer look.... Athleta’s are expensive, but good quality and comfortable

I’m sorry for what you have to go through with your endo. My PN / CPP is not as severe as your symptoms, however definitely wearing a light casual dress/tunic at night helps.

Have you heard of Lunya? They make flowy silk sleepwear/around the house sets yet some of the sets could be swapped for casual wear outside of the home. It is expensive but they have a $20 promo for subscribing via email.

I’ve had pudendal nerve issues along with all sorts of contributing factors and have found simple straight or A-line jersey type skirts with a wide waste band and leggings to be a great relief and worn with ankle boots looks kind of cute. I actually had a stranger come up and compliment me on my outfit. It made my day. I love to garden and any bend over work while wearing even stretch jeans really aggravated my problem. It hasn’t been the definitive answer and I still need to do all of my PT work but it’s helped a lot. Guys might try wearing a utility kilts.
