I have fibroids that were discovered through an ultrasound in September the largest is 9cm. The size of an orange. I was told I have a consultation booked...in January...over the phone. I am in pain and energy levels depleted. Can anyone help with advice please?

Hi, I’m 38 and was diagnosed with fibroids 5 years ago. The largest is now 15cm. I’m currently on the zoladex implant every 28 days which has been a godsend as I was hospitalised in June due to heavy blood loss. I have an appointment with the gynaecologist on Monday but I’m pretty sure they’ll tell me I need a hysterectomy. I take paracetamol & codeine for the pain and was taking an iron supplement before I started the zoladex.

I have endometriosis with fibroids, so I always attribute my pains to endo. I have given systemic enzymes a go end of last year and in my last scan the doctor did not mention the fibroids. I’m waiting to see my health records to confirm it. But overall an anti-inflammatory diet and systemic enzymes are meant to help. The enzymes help the body consume the excess fibrins and proteins. Google it. But you can try serrapeptease or systemic enzymes blends. Reducing your estrogen and progesterone is meant to help as well, because fibroids feed on both. Loosing excess fat will decrease estrogen. Graviola supposedly helps too. Ohh and some studies connect fibroids with low vit D. These may help or not, depends on the person. I’m waiting on my record to compare with older scans and see what have changed, so I’m not sure if it helps.
