One of my main issues since my myomectomy has been intense bladder/urinary pain. It always hurts to urinate, both sometimes burning but often this deep "contraction" feeling or wave of ache about middway through.
A urologist said my bladder seemed normal and my nerve damage from operation is causing this. No idea if she's accurate, as this has been a true hellscape. All day long I'm in pain and in 10 months haven't peed without pain.
Does anyone have bladder pain or damage from pelvic surgery? Nerve specific? Any thoughts/remedies would be great (PS I void completely)? Anyone get healed from this pain?
It's most likely pudental nerve but I will ask my pt on tuesday...if your Dr said it's nerve related I wonder why he hasn't given you some nerve medication?
I don't do well on nerve meds. No one is mentioning PN.... and I see a GYN who is an expert. But maybe he's wrong? My bladder has been in hell since I woke up from the surgery. I'm on valium but it only takes edge off. Nothing fixes is. If anyone has any advice please help!
Please see a woman's health pelvic floor physio specialist. Pelvic floor can often be responsible for these symptoms as well and will Ben involved somewhere. It wraps around the bladder and urethra and can fire the wrong signals to the nerves. And try Valium perhaps every now and then (not often to avoid addiction) if it's unbearable. Take care x

I do not do well with nerve meds in fact I got a terrible reaction to them hope this helps
Dear Pizon. After how long did you start doing the mashmallow and slippery elm did you find it helped? I have pain every time I urinate.....also do you know what caused your pain originally?
I started with bladder pain after my prolapsed bladder repair surgery I had my uro/gyn try to tell me it was interstitial cyclist but I never had problems before so I started seeing an herbalist I refused to have any more surgery I never had I/c I was misdiagnosed for over 1 and 1/2 years I finally went to a pelvic pain dr. in Maryland and was diagnosed with p/n so any surgery would have been unnecessary. The marshmallow root and slippery elm worked rather quickly maybe within the week I still use it and have had much success I wish you luck what did you have surgery for?
I take sweet cures D-Mannose to neutralise the pee and this helps so system not to be so acid is the new thinking. Bad Bacteria likes acid bodies leading to UTI s. I also lost a stone in weight which definitely has helped with prolapse and pain. Less weight for the pelvic floor I suppose. A lot more comfortable just now. Also use germaloide cream pain killer (used for piles) if needed that helps for sure. Paracetamol useless.
