Is it the same prolapse? I had a vaginal prolapse corrected and then had a bladder prolapse 3 years later, which I had surgery for this past Dec. so far so good. I thought it was the original prolapse recurring
I had the repair but after doing housework on day 10 I have had severe rectal spasms so now the prolapse is now dropping. Yes I originally had back pain prior to the repair and was told it was not related to the prolapse but it disappeared after surgery. So sorry to hear that you are going through all of this.
I was also told that my pain was not from the prolapse so had all kinds of other tests to check pelvis area. No problems were found. I had the surgery and as soon as i was able to walk around, the pain had all gone. Had a lady surgeon who was amazing - kind and empathetic. At 80 recovery was somewhat challenging but now back to walking 3-6km every day. Male surgeon rold me i had diverticulitis even though colonoscopy showed no evidence of this. So the right doctor can make all the difference. Sites such as this have a wealth of information on after care. Hope your Mom is able to have surgery soon.
