I have Vulvodynia. The pudendal nerve caused burning and discomfort. My GYN prescribed Clobetasol and a hormone replacement. I also have peripheral foot neuropathy. Started physical therapy 2 weeks ago. Therapist is treating the feet with a Microvas machine that is supposed to heal the nerves. Unfortunately the vulva burning has worsened since I started this treatment. I am going to try and get re-evaluated tomorrow. Has anyone had a similar issue? Please advise. Thanks.

Pudendal Nerve and Peripheral Foot Neuropathy
There can be a pudendal-foot connection. I can’t sit (pudendal issues) or walk (strange neuropathy in metatarsal region) and found on two occasions that I got significant (but temporary) relief in my feet following pudendal blocks. For the feet I would suggest class 4 laser treatment-this has helped me tremendously. Also, ultrasound helps significantly-just a $40 cheapo unit at home. Finally-104 degree water for 10-15 minutes can help a lot. If you want to pursue an e-stim approach, try Neurocare which used high volts/low amps -this has also worked well for me.
Pudendal is much harder. Is it damaged or entrapped? What is the history on the feet?
Hi, Thanks for your reply. My foot neuropathy started in 12/41/16. I was taking a low dose of the antibiotic, Macrobid for 7 months and found out neuropathy is a side effect. I never would have taken it if I knew that it could be a side effect. The nerves in the vulva started burning soon after I had 2 Mona Lisa touch laser treatments. I am using a steroid ointment twice a day which has helped.
I am trying the low o slate diet. Thanks.
