I will dm my info so you can contact me if you want, but I just want to publicly say I saw him and was VERY disappointed. I had to correspond with him via email before making an appointment and detail all of my health history associated with my Pudendal neuralgia diagnosis. He said that decompression surgery would help and he would perform it. I was excited because his reported success with the surgery was so high! I had to wait months for him to come back in town, and at my appointment he told me he would not operate because he mostly only performs this surgery on men because it is less complicated (and more likely to get better outcomes). He also told me that since I am overweight, I obviously have diabetes and that must be the cause of my nerve pain. I did not have any other signs of diabetes, and I had only gained weight recently as a side effect of medication and surgery, and years after my Pudendal nerve pain started. His success is skewed, he was rude and he wasted MONTHS of my time after initially telling me he could help. I have instead been seeing Dr. Richard Marvel in Annapolis, MD and he is AMAZING. I have made so much progress with him and he is willing to work with anyone who is willing to put in the work themselves. Go see him!!!
Hi Cassandral50...thank you for your public reply I have seen Dr. Marvel as well and I liked him well enough however in my case he tried yet another medication that made me sick (as they all have. Gabapentin, noratripline, amaptriptline, lyrcia and of course the one that made me worse was the one he gave me cimbolta) then when the new year came around and my inns. is less then good I tried to email him with a few questions and he won't do anything but a conference call that will cost as much as an office visit....I told him of my situation and he had seen me 2 times prior to this in the previous year. He did give me a diagnostic block and when it wore off I couldn't get off the sofa for 2 days....it seems the more I let the medical dr.'s do to me the worse I feel ( 3 surgerys in 1 and 1/2 years) Dr. Marvel made me feel all that he cared about was the money...would you be kind enough to tell me what he has done for you as I may have to go back to him thank you
You should check pudental Neuralgia Hope group on Facebook.. and the number of cases there by Dellon.. he made worse many ppl and his “success rate” is all bogus. I emailed him and he immediately offered me a surgery to cut my perineal nerves that would make me permanently numb there.. no thanks! Check out that group if you can
I don’t know if this is helpful, but I have been going to the center for pelvic pain at st. Joseph’s hospital in Phoenix, and the doctors have been fabulous. My dr is castellanos, and he has always made me feel like he cared about me. We have tried a ton of things, and he is always willing to try, but not pushy. I’m not a candidate for pudendal surgery, so I can’t speak to that. I know they have patients from all over the country. The staff is also great. This is the second gynecologist I have seen and he is so much better.
No, but I have been diagnosed with pudendal nerve problems. Sorry to hear, the thought of surgery scared me so I been seeing a therapist and trying a pelvic nerve release. Helped some, good luck to you, let me know how that turns out.
