Has anyone been to The Dellon Institute

In Baltimore, Maryland?  I went to their website and saw many good reviews from patients suffering from Pudental Neuralgia. Rocky68

Hi. I was treated for 9 months as to having pudendal neuralgia however I has consistent lower left abdominal pain.  I flew to see Dr dellon,  he diagnosed me with ilioinguinal iliohypogastric and genitofemoral nerve issues. I had then resected by a dr he trained and I'm 80% pain free.  Dr dellon doesn't take insurance but I received money back from my insurance company for his consultation. He is top notch.

Thanks for encouraging news. How many trips did you make? What tests were done to diagnose your problem?  Hate to hear he doesn't file insurance since it seems like lot of upfront expenses and fights with insurance company. Rocky68

One trip. I saw him in Henderson because I'm in Colorado. My insurance wasn't so bad, I had one review and they sent me the money.  He just examines you,  no tests. He's world renowned nerve surgeon, however with his diagnosis I did see another surgeon and I'm very happy with the outcome.  I love dr dellon,  he emailed me when I emailed him,  very to the point, and he helped me when no one did in 2 years.  I'll be forever grateful for his research

Was surgery performed laparoscopically?  I just wonder how he knew what was wrong before surgery. How long was recovery?

Not lap, small incision in lower left ab area. Dellon diagnosed ny physical exam.  Then i had confirmation with blocks the area was numb so the Dr knew which nerves but confirmed dellon was right.  Water therapy for 4-6 weeks. Recovery wasn't bad.

Hi, I am flying from Australia to see Dr Dellon next month . How are you going?

I had temporary DRG Stimulator removed yesterday. I can tell it definitely did help me. First day since removal and spasms under rectum worse and I've a backache. I had no lower back pain with Stimulator and spasms were not as intense. I never had any pelvic or vaginal problems like so many with PN.

I had DRG Trial in Greensboro, NC and have never been to Dellon Institute. You may want to ask other website participants about their experience at Dellon Institute. The St Jude Reps said there weren't that many Drs in United States who are certified to do DRG. I plan to have it permanently implanted as soon as insurance approves it.

Sorry you are having to take such a long, expensive trip. Good luck. Rocky68

Hi Pepper,

I’m Shirley from the U.K. could you please tell me which Doctor did your operation? You say he was trained by Dr Dellon. I had pudendal decompression on both sides, made no difference. But Dr Dellon has emailed and thinks I have six nerves damaged the same three as you but on both sides and a groin pull and abductor muscle damage. And can you also advise if it was thousands of dollars difference, if you don’t mind.

Many thanks

Shirley. Ps it’s a long way to go but I’m pretty desperate.

I just received this notification (Rocky68). I have never had decompression surgery. I don't know if Pepper received your question. Rocky68

I would be suspicious. I was one day from being operated on and pulled out because I thought it was strange that he would not even examine me before operating. Since then I've heard from others that he'll operate on almost anyone that walks through the door.
