Pelvic pain/prudential nerve: I am looking for a gal who lives in Newton Iowa and had posted on seeing Dr. Mazur in Ia. City and I live in Marshalltown and would like to visit with her on this problem.

I corresponded with Jlteam5 over a year ago who was seeing Dr Mazur. I'm not sure if she is still a member here.

Yes...I was diagnosed in December of 2014 and sent to Dr Benson in Sioux Falls SD early in 2015. I was in severe pain every day by mid morning at my desk job. He is one of two doctors in the US that treats PN with inter-stims surgically implanted in the low back with leads placed near the pudendal nerves. I had the trial surgery done in March of 2015 and had some improvement so went on to have the permanent implants done in April. Since then, I would say I am 50 -60% better most days by using the inter-stims and lifestyle changes (sitting very little, etc). If you type in RLH356 under search, you can read where I go into more detail. I live in IA, so SD was a 6 hr drive for us, which is my biggest trigger. But, it was definitely worth it. I laid down on a mattress in back of our SUV. Dr B was very accomodating in getting all appointments I needed back to back so we didn't have to make any more trips than necessary. Dr Peters is the other doctor who does this surgery and he is located in Michigan if you are interested in pursuing this option. If you have any questions, don't hesitate in asking.
